As the message says. If you dismiss it it goes away for a week.

Thanks.

Maybe some more information would be useful to users, rather than needing to seek out a thread from 2015.

Or, don't display the message if I'm not logged in using that service.

Reads on first glance as Geekzone won't be available via a web browser any more.

And while we're at it, any chance of hiding the Cookie banner at the bottom of each page (if we're not in the UK or EU)?

Tha os for the suggestions.

Click the cookie banner option to close and it disappears. Tried that?

Yes, thought of doing the message only for logged in users on webpass. But that requires coding and I am short of time at the moment.

not sure if it's just me, but the banner seems to have a habbit of returning...

cookie isn't bound to IP or anything like that is it?

No, it isn't. I can have it showing to outside NZ only as before but I am trying to get our code faster.

Same here.

Super annoying, resorted to removing Geekzone from whitelist in Adblock to get rid of it.

Update this thread once all blue bars actually go away when closed. I'll whitelist on Adblock again when that's happened.

a bit extreame?

The time spent doing that would be longer than just clicking the X.

Agree its annoying.... but hey new features in dev..... go with the flow...

Erm not sure how you calculated that, because having clicked close on the banner at least three times on three different occasions in Safari, it was actually just two clicks to remove GZ from the white list. It'll be two clicks to add it back again too.

Will wait for the RC, rather than being a Beta tester.
