A family member is trying to join Geekzone but keeps getting the message ‘Rate Limiting - your IP address is rate limited due to too many connections …..’. What does this mean and what does she do about it to join Geekzone?  Thanks

Rate limiting happens on the login page when someone tries to enter a wrong password too many times or used the page too many times (login, reset password) in a five minutes time window. This resets after 15 minutes.

 

If the person is using the login page then I assume registration worked so joining wasn't the problem.
