It's nice that it displays the thread so you can view your new post in context, but shouldn't it upen the last page of a multi-page thread, rather than the top of the first page?

Same goes for while you are adding the post. Showing the very last page would more likely contain what you are responding to than the first page.

Just a thought.

I've changed the reply and quote functionality to show the current page you are replying or quoting to.

By the way, after adding a post the thread was already going to the last page, last post. This is not true if you Edit your own post afterwards.

I'm sure Reply and Quote were always doing what Edit does now - show the first page during composition, and showing the top of the first page after committing. I always had to navigate back to page 6 to see if someone else posted while I was composing.

That was interesting - ater adding that reply, it showed your "Noted, and we will..." post at the top, ie without my post that started the thread. One of the water-cooled monkeys must be on a banana break. Smile

Nope, this was changed as a result of this request, back in February... The only change I've done now is to show the current page when doing a Reply or Quote, instead of showing the first page.

Just did a Quote type reply on a multi-page thread (http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=34&topicid=7131&page_no=2#34503), and after committing it took me to the top of the first page.
