gets a bit frustrating reading on geekzone sometimes as often the right hand side of the text gets cut off.
Seeing this on Opensuse using firefox and chrome. Appears without problem on Konqueror.
Using computer at work with IE7 also gets cut off.

e.g. - a post from today.

It's probably the resolution you are using it, with the fact the embedded image is wider than normal.

We already resize images using CSS but there's a minimum we can go.

What resolution are you using?

at home 1280x1024

Not sure if the resolution on the monitor at work but it is a widescreen monitor so resolution would be completely different.

no - don't maximise the window - have it filling about 3/4 of the screen width.
Be a little surprised if this was the reason though as geekzone is the only site I have ever had the issue.

Here's another thread cutting off the text quite severley but in this case there is no large image causing it to happen.

http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=81&topicid=72938

Looks a little different in firefox to chrome but is still cut off.
Appears to be caused by the advertising down the right hand side.

Its that absurd link causing it. Possibly some CSS magic that could be done to fix it, but really, when people post nonsense like that things are going to break.

No, not the advertising. It is the link. Links are a problem because like images you can't wrap them (easily).

I'm having the same problem, but this seems to be caused by a banner ad:

Win XP, IE 7, on an eMachine M350 with a screen resolution of 1024x600
Earlier I had an ad appear in the footer of the post (the black bar that has the 'like', 'tweet' and 'compose reply' etc., but I just thought it was nicer sitting there compared to in the middle of the post. The footer in this post fits on the screen perfectly - http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=97&topicid=73677

EDIT: Found another example:

Don't worry I get the same issue, I am visually impaired and have to change the res on my smaller monitors... I too complained but have to deal with it. It's really noticeable on an iPhone as well, however on my widescreen laptop it's fine as well as my 22" @ work; for me it's just the normal aspect ratio screens that have issues.

Doesnt happen here on my 4:3 screen unless I zoom heaps. Perhaps if you are stuck in 1024x764 or something it might.
