I don't know how else this is happening. I'm being inundated with geekzone forum reply spam, even though I never set the checkbox to notify me by email when someone replies to a thread/post

This has always been like that, and I will ask RedJungle to add this to the forums.

I suggest you go to your profile page and change the forum notification frequency. You can change to always, hourly, daily or never and it applies to all forum notifications regardless if it it comes from mobile or full site.

Alternatively you can always use the full site on mobile. It's quite fast seeing we don't serve ads, signatures and disable the full text editor automatically.
