Yes and no sadly.

It is an issue I have currently with Firefox when I'm looking at the GeekZone main page.
I think it is due to the current session not ending when I close specific tabs.

What I generally do is open a whole host of tabs and switch between them.
Now in the case of GeekZone there are those handy "NEW!" images along side the
new forum posts, blog entries and news that I haven't looked at yet, which is great!
But unfortunately once I've read the new content and I go back to the home page
(by clicking on the GeekZone logo, or the Home button) those icons are still present
along with new "NEW!" images along side the latest content.

What this does is make me very confused as to what exactly I have and haven't read
and I find myself going into threads that I have already seen. Closing the GeekZone tab
doesn't help either. The entire browser needs to go :(

I have 2 solutions for this:
    1. I remove the two cookies responsible for keeping my current session.
          ("__utmc" and "ASPSESSIONIDQARRCTST")
          Now all I have to do is push F5 and what I have read is no longer marked as new.
          It's a very long winded way around the problem though.
    2. I can close Firefox and go back to GeekZone.
          While that is probably the quickest way, it means I have to close ALL my
          other open tabs. Which sucks. :(

I suppose I could always run GeekZone in a seperate browser instance altogether, but I
hate wasting resources.

Does anyone have any other solutions for me?
Maybe a handy Firefox extension that can automate the process for me?
