Hi.

I'm not so interested in whether the post has been edited or not, and the bright yellow is distracting.
Is there an option to hide this indicator for all posts?

Thanks

You could probably do it with some custom CSS styles, or you could make your own greasemonkey script.

Personally, I don't find the yellow text that annoying.
It's actually interesting to see how many people edit their posts.

EDIT: ;-)

We can possibly add an option to hide this, but at the moment I started coding the Automatic Thread Subscription Engine (TM), which will take me at least a week to design, code, test, release...

Fair enough. Thanks for considering it.

I don't actually mind the message saying "This post has been edited". It's the yellow that I don't like. Fussy, I know. Cheers

There's only a 15min window to edit right.
Does editing extend that window??

No, editing does not extend the window.

I reckon removing the yellow highlight would be visually better. I tend to agree it currently is distracting.

I agree it is distracting but worse than that I don't really care if someone has edited their post. Clearly something was wrong and needed correcting, so what?

I would guess most of the time it is just correcting typo's like me :-)

Not sure why I need to know if it has been edited at all? or am I missing something?

Just wondering if the This post has been edited. could have a window of say an hour for one to correct spelling or grammar problems. Some times I post and see a mistake and immediately correct it but there is the dirty big yellow "This post has been edited." afterwards..

The main reason for the note as because people posted things before and changed after others commented. In some cases even changing the whole meaning of their posting.

I thought it important to let people know someone changed something in the post.

Agreed, but it doesn't need to shout it in yellow :)
