I noticed some time ago that this was happening, and I see that there was a discussion in 2010 about this, and several tweaks, but this is still an occasional issue for me. I use Firefox, IE8 and Chrome on XP.

Screenshot please, because I can't see anything wrong on that link in any browser.

Are you sure it's not how far in on the page you are zoomed? Mine was on 120 % because the text was a bit small on my monitor, so when I viewed that link the text on the right side ended up being covered by the ads for the last 2 or so words on each line.

Changing my Zoom back to 100 % and it all fits on the page again as it usually would.

Edit: This is on Chrome

Fixed. It was an image with width larger than the column, making it overflow.

Is the advertising missing on the left hand side? is there an ad blocking extension active?

I use 1920x1080 and I get the same issue when using chrome on 120% or larger zoom. Just change it back to 100%. I don't have ads either....

I didn't even go there. Because

1.It's Sunday
2.Someone is blocking ads
3.Therefore I wouldn't even touch.

But I'm in a good mood. However... I will be changing things on Geekzone this week.

With Chrome and Firefox I can zoom out to 75-80% and get the full text but then the text is too small for me to read comfortably!

But being a subscriber you also have the option of not showing the sidebar - that would add a few more pixels to the width of the content box. Are you using that option? It's very handy.

My Apologies everyone... its been so long since I have viewed GZ on Chrome with the zoom larger than 120% as it didn't display correctly (for me anyhow). Now that I have just tried it again, it works perfectly ;).

Freitasm, yes I have both sidebar and ads turned off... which is actually the reason I subscribe.. plus I browse GZ on a near daily basis, so I thought I better contribute something. Those guilt purchases really do work don't they ;)

What does this mean? That I have to enable ads in my browser to be taken seriously?
