The Chorus exchange/lab tour

Yesterday I was one of 5 lucky punters to be given a guided tour of the Chorus building in Cambridge Terrace by Brent @bmarquis.

Many thanks to Brent and to Chorus.  🙂

Had a great time last night, meeting up with a bunch of people I knew and putting faces to names of those I didn't.

Thanks @freitasm for organizing. Thanks @JasonParis for the sponsorship.

Those are the cleanest Conklins I've ever seen.

@bmarquis probably spent all of Friday polishing them.

They look wrong when they don't have a thin film of filth on them and aren't just shoved into a box at a jaunty angle.

Thanks Guys for an awesome night. I wont be having Pizza for quite some time. Thanks also to Brent for the Chorus Lab tour. Even though you were speaking a different language it was interesting. Good to meet the Mods and another user I had trouble remembering #Blackjack the base just clicked tonight.Nice trip down on the train unfortunately the view not good there and back mountain wise. I spent my day time hours geocaching on foot the streets of downtown and Harbour since my arrival Thursday evening. Stayed at a nearby hotel The Cambridge Hotel which was useful. Hope to see people at the next Auckland one

How did you know?
I even gave them a bit of a tickle up right before everyone arrived.
I knew they would be the star of the show. 100gbps? 10GPON? Nah, show me the Conklin!

Conklin? Luxury! Back in my day.... Oh yeah, no internet back then.. Subs PCM just to get phone service to country folk.

Was an excellent night, thanks all! Been a great weekend in Wellington all up. Heading back to reality later today.

My wife enjoyed her time in the city whilst I geeked out over Conklins and tech talk. Pretty much I've been told I have to go to the next Wellington event too :)
