Sorry Alastair, according to Suzi (pebblesy), she think geeks are HOT! Therefore, us geeks are hot, then therefore we should be hotter than your friend *hehe*

alas I couldn't attend, had to shoot up country urgently for family matters, seemed like a great night, hope to come along next year though I did squeeze in some snow whilst I was up there so was kind of worth it :-)

By the way. We had 100% registrations for Wellington and only 49 people attended.

Some people didn't even bother contacting us to cancel so we didn't have a chance to offer the seat to anyone else.

Some people double booked.

Please don't register if you don't want to make a commitment. That's because we pay your food regardless of you being present there or not.

Yes, we had to pay food for 60 people when in fact we only had 49 people. That's is very bad coming from you guys who confirmed and didn't show up.

So again, don't bother registering if you are not coming. If you register for our Saturday evening, then you should make sure you book any other thing coming after for either side of the day - Friday or Sunday.

If you don't then you are not being a nice geek.

Did I make it clear?

Will you name and shame the no-shows who didn't let you know?

I didn't show up but messaged Mauricio on Tuesday so he could reallocate but I can't find the sent message so for one reason or another it either did not get through or was deleted upon being read at his end. I never got a reply so will never know.

I seem to have the MS translator lock up my pc more often than not.

A bit tardy of me to post so late, but it was a fun night and I really enjoyed putting faces to names.

Big thanks to MF for the organisation and also to Domains4Less and Snapper for the drinks and pizza!!

Mauricio - I registered two people under the same GZ account, and received two confirmations. I assume this is OK, or will I need to create another account for the second person?

Also, the confirmation email still says "WELLINGTON" ;-)
