timmmay: I use RSS feeds for read articles on a tablet, but not forums, they're not targeted enough, you get too much guff and you can't reply as easily from a tablet. Emails have the same problem.

Do you subscribe to the generic forum RSS feed, or to individual forum feeds?

As I said (not very clearly), I don't subscribe to RSS feed for any forum, this one included. I subscribe to RSS feeds for news sites (cnet etc) and blogs, cartoons, etc.

The text based Geekzone notification emails do look horrible. I haven't had any recently so can't comment on the extra links. Sounds fine, but yeah keep them further down the email. I expect most people would use the actual site to do more digging around than the content of the email, but it won't hurt to have it in there either way.

A clear 'watch topic' button which changes to an 'unwatch topic' button when you've subscribed would probably help others too. That's probably a fairly regular process for many. I subscribe to threads I want to keep tabs on and drop out once I no longer require the close monitoring of it.

I appreciate you have to provide for the lowest common denominator, but I wish you included the content of any Geekzone private mail messages for instance also.

First email notification in some time, and I quite like it. Having the line break between the unsubscribe etc works well.
