In topics you create you're the OP so that makes sense.

EDIT: oops too slow... this is turning into stackoverflow :P


Basically the OP, Trusted users and Moderators can set (or reset) a reply as the answer for a topic.

One point, can the colour of the selected answer bit be something other than black on yellow? Yellow is a pretty harsh colour, so even if it's just toned down it'd be a bit easier on the eyes.

might be a good feature, but in terms of visualization. red is NO-NO color and having it on the left hand side is destructing from main content. would totally avoid it. and probably ban that red in adblock :)

Shot in the dark, something around #FFFFA6 if you want to stick with yellow.  Or possibly the same yellow as you use on the info box above the editor on the post reply screen (#FFF0A5 ?)

Usually they have met one of the moderators in person (you know, for that free beer they get from happy users), or approach one of us during the Geekzone Pizza and ask. Some are implicitly trusted when getting a work tag.

Meh, I go to the GZ Pizza evenings for the pizza. And the Gelato... pity they're only once a year unless you feel like travelling to a different city!

I'm liking the new colour by the way, thanks for that!  Much easier on the eyes.

I have made a couple of small changed:

- a longer message for the reply marked as answer, including the user who marked it;
- a box around the reply marked as answer to stand out against all other replies.

Note that we log all the set/reset actions. If this is abused by anyone then we will make sure that we reset the answer and warn/ban the user. You're welcome to vote in your own reply, but only if it's the actual answer - we gave Trusted status for a reason folks...
