Are you using your ISPs preferred DNS servers, if each DNS request for each element is taking longer than it could then that could make a difference in page load times.

I am in Cromwell, we have terrible speeds. This is actually double the speed it normally is. The page probably does load in 1-2 seconds but takes 19 seconds to finish loading, or be useable.

So it's not just GZ that's really slow for you?

Most sites are ok, gz in particular is quite bad, aligned with international sites. Stuff, tm, fb seem to load lickity split.

I think you should start a new topic in the appropriate section for your ISP. Your problem is not Geekzone.
