Done, and another badge added to the collection....

Broke my phone. Need to re-do 2FA. Any way I can do this without my code?

freitasm: Use the security code issued at time of enrollment and disable 2FA. Also use Authy because it syncs to other devices.
Thanks MF!
What's with the '2FA' authentication? I'm on more than a 100 boards around the world and I don't know of any others that require this.

It's not required. You can disable it in your profile (https://www.geekzone.co.nz/upd_user.asp)
But most "geeks" use 2FA on everything to enhance security. It is not a requirement but is recommended to enable this on your services (as well as using a password manager). Even if the likelyhood of your Geekzone account getting hacked is low, it is still nice to have.

Having a problem (re)setting up geekzone 2FA up on my win 10 phone. I think there may be a new MS authenticator app causing the problem
short story of how I got to this point.
I had to reset my windows phone. As part of that process I disabled my geekzone 2FA and had to reset my password (forgot it). I'm not sure if this has any bearing on the problem.
When installing the MS authenticator app it didn't like installing the one in "my app library" so I got it from the store. I noticed that rather than saying owned/install it had "get" so I'm guessing its a new version.
When I go through the steps to enable 2FA I get "Invalid code please try again". Ive tried a few times but still get this.
The authenticator app seems to be working as I've checked it with my outlook accounts.
any ideas/help?
Make sure the phone has correct timezone, date and time.

Think its definitely the new MS app
Did a few tests on my android tablet
MS app didn't work
Google authenticator did work
Just to confirm it I disabled 2FA with the google authenticator 2FA code and repeated the above with the same result.
The MS app does work with my MS accounts but I don't have any other places I use 2FA to test it.
With that limited testing it would seem to indicate somethings up between the new MS app and geekzone
last update to the android MS app was 13-Dec so maybe something happened then?
I use Authy instead. It syncs between devices, which is good in case you lose the phone.

Doesn't seem to be a Win phone 10 option for Authy.
Might have to leave it for now and try again later.
