sushrukh:

Where did the contest page vanish ? I couldn't find anything about the contest on the home page.Has it ended already ? If yes when & where will you post the winner's name ?

Maybe Frietas abscounded with it!Cool J/K!!!

The page could have been removed to prevent further entries after the expiration, sushrukh, though locking the thread could have acheived the same results.

In any case, cheers to whomever wins!

I was about to win in a site but they didn't let me win as i don't live in the USA.So, my only chance is this website.

If you are talking about the one at GearLive I don't know how you can say that you didn't win cause you don't win in the USA when it even says in the Rules on the site that its open to everyone not just people in the USA. Your just sore cause you and a bunch of others got docked points for not following the rules and spamming the site like crazy.

Hello conspiracy theorists... The page was automatically removed from the system to prevent more entries - you are right there breley.

The competition rules were to close it Friday 10pm (NZ time). Also listed in the rules was that I would do the draw Saturday 10am (NZ time). It's 7:32am as I post this so still some time to go. You read the rules, didn't you sushrukh?

We did receive lots of duplicate entries, and the most visible ones were deleted. Before the draw I will have another look for any repeated IP addresses, emails with similar names, etc.

We had about 1000 entries counting the duplicates ones. At the end of the day I think it is a good chance to everyone who played fair - because I didn't ask for special creative video making skills or any tricky task.

People had simply to visit the site, look around the forums to find the correct answers - and I hope they also found more about the Geekzone.

So let's wait until 10am NZ time, in a couple of hours and I will post the winner here.

Remember the rules. If the winner doesn't reply to my notification e-mail in 48 hours then I draw again.

Yes sir i read the rules but i didn't actually know that we have a forum section too about this contest.I only visited the home page & entered the contest from the link there.I just found this forum thread few hours back. So, i thought i would ask about the contest page from the main site.thank you very much for your reply & for giving us the update.1000 entries ? Chances are very slim.Anyways thanks for the update.

Congrats, nice that a regular won. Nicer that newbies had a chance.
