freitasm:...Sending out now, to Auckland users with the option to receive emails from Geekzone....
Bugger. I updated my City (from Auckland) to my new Northland home....
Will see the uptake and then might open up later - we really have a lot of sweets to giveaway.

Thanks, super excited! Sweet stuff always helps a bit in times of crisis 😄
I'm looking forward to receiving something for (assumedly) nothing...

All emails to Auckland sent. If you have not received is because either you have unsubscribed to emails or the city is not 'Auckland'.
As I said, depending on how it goes I will post the link and email everyone else - first dibs to people who received the email.

Bummer I missed the thread and didn't update my location. Tired to this morning and it wouldn't let me.
Updated my region
Hi @freitasm - Might be a little bug in the profile page....
I thought I updated my profile by adding my city yesterday - but didn't notice that when updating it says my email address is invalid.
My address is firstname.lastname.nz@gmail.com - maybe doesn't like the 3 fullstops to the left of the @gmail?
Hmm - Have just tried amending my email address to firstnameLASTNAME.nz@gmail.com and its changed my details (ie updated the city).
I guess this will be ok as gmail is supposed to be blind to fullstops - But its legit to have more than one fullstop in the name part of an email address isn't it?

freitasm: Yes, unfortunately I never managed to get a good email validator regex...
It's practically impossible to validate an e-mail using regex. Almost any character is valid if quoted.
Still waiting for Auckland Transport to get back to me (likely going to be an Official Information request). They will allow you to create an account with a + in the address (perfectly valid), but you can't login if you do so.
We've decided to open the offer up to everyone, so posted the $10 Giapo gift codes instructions here now.

I am weeping quietly in the corner as I am unable to eat ice cream. So sad.
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.
