Thanks. So your connection from the ISP is going through Auckland.

Working fine. Firefox/Linux on a Slingshot Fibre IPv6 connection in Auckland (connected to CF AKL). Using uBlock Origin.

I've not made many posts today, but the two I've posted with Firefox on Windows and Chromium on FreeBSD have been fine. Firefox on FreeBSD just isn't playing nicely. I have four extensions, none of which have been updated in the past month. The browser itself probably has been updated however. I updated it again today and haven't seen any improvement.

I'll browse the forums with Chromium for a few days to see if I notice any degraded performance with that.

I think I may have an answer. I enabled network.http.http3.enabled on Firefox around 24 January then promptly forgot about it.

That should make things faster, not slower. I use HTTP/3 on my Chromium-based browser with no problems.

Does disabling it fix the problem?

It seemed to.

If I don't post an edit, this post worked as expected.

richms:

Its all ususal here on voyager on ipv4 because 6 is pointless for me as an internet user so disabled.

Posting takes the longest but I am guessing that is all Mauritio's anti spam checking happening, about 5 seconds. Other page loads are near instant.

Edit: 3 seconds to post that.

i'm on spark.

how do i know if i'm on ipv 4 or 6?

@batman Spark don’t have IPv6 and if you did have it the Geekzone icon in the top left corner will indicate IPv6.

As stated, IPv6 will appear in the top left corner of the Geekzone logo. This doesn't mean IPv6 is being used everywhere it can be as it depends on the client and OS configuration. For Firefox at least you can get a add-on which shows if the page was requested using IPv4 or IPv6.

And the least add-ons on your browser, the better.
