Yes, I have used Opera for months now, and love it better than FF.
The buttons above the text box when posting all seem to work well.

I actually use Internet Explorer 6 all the time, and for anything else I have been using Opera. I've noticed Firefox tend to freeze with havier pages.

I got the email and attachment from Mauricio.

from the quick glance.. it appears that the JS code are written in such a way that it's specific for IE's DOM. for example the method of marking the selected text in the message box is not operative for Firefox's DOM.

so to make the toolbar buttons working, then we will lose some IE specific features, or majorly overhaul the code to accomodate both (retaining IE's DOM and extend FF's DOM support).



OR! last resort is to display a quicktip/code for each buttons. for example, mouse over the "I" will display quicktip "<i> ... </i>"

any urls for heaiver type pages, firefox performs well for me even with 10+ tabs open etc it does chew memory after a while but isnt that life

Truth be known my preferred environment is Internet Explorer 6 with Maxthon. I use Opera more than Firefox.

My wife runs an iMac, and uses Safari more because of tabbed browsing, but Internet Explorer was the default for years. We now have more memory on that iMac, Mac OS X 10.4 so it's easier to use more advanced browsers.

Still, anything that works on Windows will not work on Mac. It's incredible how you can have six different browsers here and not two work the same - with any page!

paradoxsm: (I do allow for geekzone and a couple of other often used sites) those chitika "mini mall" ads are quite novel.. how are you finding click through's?
They work well - not as great as Google AdSense, but for a main banner or perhaps a default for another network it works really well (in my case Tribal Fusion sends defaults to my own ad server, and Chitika has higher priority than others).

Firefox is available on Mac and as far as i can tell displays pages the same as the windows version, its the only decent, consistant cross platform browser around

You wish! I hve seen things rendering differently in firefox on Windows and Mac OS versions.

I've been involved in the testing of firefox for the last 2years and have installed on all the computers at work, both pc and mac and the times i have used it on the mac ive seen no difference between the 2. I must say that comes as something of a surprise. Have to take more in depth look
