richms: If you are going thru another host then it will be coming from a server not listed in the SPF records, so it should all go to the spam as being spoofed really, as your mail server has no right sending stuff as geekzone.

Let' not get to conclusions before looking at facts, please.

1. Forum notifications comes from the same server as the domain geekzone.co.nz
2. Other geekzone emails come only from the servers hosted at the mx server for the domain geekzone.co.nz
3. Both of these possibilities are listed in the SPF text

A quick check the mail headers would tell you that, so I don't know where did you get the idea that the emails are not coming from our server.

Hi, I have looked at the details of emails that previously ( and for some years) have never been listed as SPAM and those that were, and the SPF details and MX records are the same with the very same forwarding details from my domain onward to gmail as they always have had and did during the period of issue and do now.

So stuffed if I know, anyway fixed now.

Even though we moved the NS server name, all our IP addresses and SPF records remained the same over the years... Thanks for looking anyway.

He said they were fowarded thru his server on the way to gmail. IME that makes things really likly to hit the spam folder when I was fowarding my old ihug address there.
