freitasm: The IPv6 connectivity to outside won't be working until next week. The IP address show is not* the Geekzone server, but another server I have in the same subnet (hence no problems connecting).

Good idea about the IPv6 indicator...

It can be something simple such as redirecting the URL to "ipv6.geekzone.co.nz" even. Show off that your using IPv6, there's not many sites out there using it + I can count on 1 hand the amount of sites using it at Unleash.

We won't be redirecting to a different domain - Google doesn't like duplicated content and we have reasons to like Google.

It will be something on the page if we have it...

Ah, I didn't think about that one. Good point. Everyone likes Google :)
Logo Change? Secret IPv6 Forum to encourage people to use IPv6? First 10 users that browse Geekzone over IPv6 win something?

I've got an IPv6 AYIYA tunnel running to my MBP for fscking around from sixxs.net - there is a WLG PoP tunnel endpoint, 30ms or so. very nice :)

Mostly just IRCing from a v6 hostname, lol ;)

I've just created some NS and AAAA records with our name server provider and it worked fine for a test domain we own...

This means we are ok to create NS and AAAA records for geekzone.co.nz sometime this coming week, when ICONZ should update their firewall configuration to allow connections.

Not a bad idea. I made a change and we won't be running ads on IPv6 connections in the first few weeks - anyone connecting to Geekzone IPv6 will get full speed with no ads...

I will be posting a new thread in the forums for the specific go live, where people can give feedback, etc...

At that time I will lock this discussion.

That's ipv6.google.com, use it for testing to see if you have IPv6 Connectivity. As you can see I have it, and also I have it at work too. Bring on Geekzone IPv6!

64 bytes from 2404:6800:8004::68: icmp_seq=2 ttl=54 time=359 ms

--- ipv6.google.com ping statistics ---
2 packets transmitted, 2 received, 0% packet loss, time 999ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 359.798/360.008/360.219/0.635 ms

Also have ipv6 sites and we do ipv6 DNS servers through affordabledomains :)

Need to look at this xnet option, sounds awesome.
