VinLew: I'm having the same problem, but this seems to be caused by a banner ad:

Win XP, IE 7, on an eMachine M350 with a screen resolution of 1024x600
Earlier I had an ad appear in the footer of the post (the black bar that has the 'like', 'tweet' and 'compose reply' etc., but I just thought it was nicer sitting there compared to in the middle of the post. The footer in this post fits on the screen perfectly - http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=97&topicid=73677

Are you running any Antivirus that inspect web pages?

That leaderboard ad is in the wrong position. You should not see a leaderboard ad INSIDE any topic, it should always be above, like this:

One leaderboard above the topic, and one square on the first item of a forum page. If you see the leadeboard anywhere else, then something is interfering with the page.

Also I suggest you update to IE 8.

I just checked, I am running IE8 (apologies for the mistake) and the only anti-virus I am running is Microsoft Security Essentials;
Microsoft Security Essentials Version: 1.0.2498.0
Antimalware Client Version: 2.1.6805.0
Engine Version: 1.1.6402.0
Antivirus definitions: 1.95.2086.0
Antispyware definitions: 1.95.2086.0

behind a router & Windows Firewall.
The problem only seems to occur with Telecom Banner ads, but if I zoom out to 50% and reload the page it seems to place the banner back at the top of the page. The only add-ons that I can see installed that would effect a webpage layout is Chrome Frame and Silverlight. Compatibility View corrects the issue most of the time, and refreshing the page a few times once bought up a frame loading about:blank inside the post, but otherwise it has fixed any problems.

I have the same issue, text on the edge being cut off. 1024 x 768 resolution.
I've also noticed in the last couple of days I'm no longer able to access geekzone at work. I can't remember what the message displayed is, but it's not the usual work firewall blocking message. Any changes that may have caused that?

Interesting. Never experienced this phenomenom at all. Tried replicating it on my 3 lappys and 2 desktops. All fine. Using Chrome.

not related to the cutoff text but am pretty sure this is not how that ad is supposed to look either.

The square ad shows on the first post of the page - unless there's an image there, in which case it shows in the next one.

t's been like that since it was put in there - you just never noticed...

is there a problem with the way the ads are being served up to the website or is it the site itself.
You mentioned previously that banner ads should not be in the body of the forum.

Had the following today on screen resolution 1280x1024

It seems like a problem on IE7/IE8 rendering the scripts... I don't see this with IE9 but will keep chasing.

I've had the same issue (and now in IE9 also) running 1024x768. However with 75% zoom it dosent cut off the right hand edge...so at least i can read the whole posts :)

I have a suspicion what could be causing the ads showing in the wrong place when using Internet Explorer and I am looking at it.

Its not just IE. I use Chrome and Safari on Mac OSX (mostly the former), and I've seen it there. Can't be more specific right now, I'm afraid, but I'll provide screenshots and confirm the browser its occurring in the next time I see it.
