I would just add that I have made a few transactions (buyer) on GZ and never a problem. Naturally I look at how long the seller has been a member, and maybe review some posts, but I have always had a sense that most regular GZ members are of a slightly higher caliber than the general population. There is a form of selection that takes place in this community.

As far as NZ Post goes, I have always preferred that to courier where possible and I have never been disappointed. Tracking does seem sensible at a minimum, though that is wisdom from hindsight.

Hi all,

I have been contacted by Tony and we have come to an agreement about how to move on.

From my perspective some lessons learned:

1. As a purchaser specify the required shipping method

2. As a seller protect yourself with a shipping method that will cover the item if it goes missing.

3. Contact details should be shared by both parties.

4. I guess some slimy NZ Post employee (sorry NZ Post employees who may be reading) is walking around with a Gear S3. :-(

@freitasm perhaps something like this could be incorporated into the FUG?

Cheers, Matt.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Glad to hear things worked out. Well done to both parties for keeping their cool. Mistakes happen and sometimes even the best of us can take some time to come to the right conclusion, especially if as a result of that mistake you are out of pocket a not insignificant sum of money.
