jbard: Maybe you need to change the way hot topic disscussions are ordered, if you look at the post Paul Henry suspended by TVNZ it was only started at 12pm today and already its on 4 pages and growing quickly. Yet it isn't on the hot disscussions page, Surely that is a hot topic, maybe it should be on average posts a day or something different that better represents popular topics?

Yep, looking into that. Currently it lists topics with any movement in the last seven days by order of replies...

As suggested... The "Hot Discussions" now lists topics with any activity in the last seven days, showing those with the highest average of replies per day.

How is that now?

Or should we call it "Trending Discussions"?

"Trending Discussions" is better i think, or maybe just "Popular Discissions Today"?

Ok, changed to "Trending Discussions".

Any other feedback on the way we are selecting what's trending now?

Slightly off topic, but a couple of weeks ago the behaviour of geekzone changed for me. I use Chrome and it used to be when I clicked on a forum item off the main page it would go to that item direct. Now it always opens a new browser tab first (which is a real pain).

How do I get it to go back to the old behaviour (this does not happen on any other site)

It opens in a new tab when geekzone live is turned on, you can switch it off in your profile options.

I explained this in the previous page. Disable the automatic updates in your profile.

is trending Live.Geekzone broken?

All the trending links are going to live.geekzone and ending up in 404 errors... :(

I think they're suppose to link to www.geekzone...

This is fixed now. Also refined the Trending Topics selection, now not showing locked topics anymore, only those ones you can actually participate.

This is not helpful. Anything else? In the frontpage? On Geekzone Live? Screenshot?
