Considering scott stays at my place when he's up in Auckland, it's very much joking around ;)

Well it took me all day to decide to do this but I have happily signed up to show support to Mauricio and the other people who help fulfill our daily Geeky needs. Cheers to you all.

Thanks... Yes, you can - just change the settings in your profile page (show ads, show sidebar in forums, etc).

Agreed! Would be nice to be able to configure where they appear (Bar on the bottom of the page would be ideal).

That's something that we can't do. We need ads in specific places so that we can manage impressions, delivery rate, etc. There's a whole science behind it!

What would it take to have an Android app for this site? If there was someone willing to do it, would people consider paying toward it, and would MF be willing to have the site opened like that?

There's an API (check "View my App Keys" link in your profile). There's an alpha Android version available via email. We are working on the API to allow posting (currently it's read only).

Apps are developed by third party. Access to the API is free. The only limitation is that it can't be a web app - it has to be a desktop or mobile app.

Good to hear it's being worked on. I prefer app rather than web app anyways.

I'd be keen to take a look at the alpha.

Would love to take a look at the Alpha Android app as well.
Are you accepting "Alpha-Beta" testers? ;)
