Jase2985:
testing
single enter
double enter
shift enter
quote works
code from the above post
<p>testing</p>
<p>single enter</p>
<p> </p>
<p>double enter<br>shift enter</p>
Yes looks better.
Seems fixed, ta. You can delete this other thread if you like.
Sorry folks, it ended up not being a code fault (I am too good!) - I changed the Rich Text Editor to use <P> instead of <BR> and forgot to whitelist the <P> tag...
Configuration error.
All good now.

Thanks for your efforts in resolving those two issues :) Are you on a roll? Can I give you more :) LOL
I had this problem here:
http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=37&topicid=191084
i had to edit the post and double space the paragraphs

Personally I preferred it when there were less paragraphs in the office but I appreciate that is a lost battle!
Usually I'm one for freedom of speech and opinion around this subject.. but that's just not something acceptable to say.
In fact, that's almost the epitome of the systemic nbsp issues in IT.
Comment from my wife
"I prefer offices with less paragraphs too. More gets done and there's a lot less aggro!"
I actually think you are trolling now.
I'd prefer he was, that explains it. But methinks he isn't.
No, he genuinely is stuck in the 1940's.

that post for example when quoted gets a tonne of extra "paragraphs" added, there are now 7 lines between the paragraphs when i/others quote it ie http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=162&topicid=191415&page_no=2#1485470
it adds a heap of extra white space to a page (Bad thing IMO)
Yes, I know about this problem - and only happens with a few people and I haven't been able to pinpoint it. However people quoting will see that and could just fix before submitting.

but you are relying on people, same with the huge images people post or the super long links, you are relying on people to fix all those them selves and while most do, those that don't make more work for the mods and make the forum harder to view for most others.
I know there's this reliance, and I don't like it. I just don't have the time to fix it until I have the time. Until then it's a minor annoyance in my priorities list.

Ive found that happens when you have a link at the end of something, it sticks the / quote inside the link and you cant delete it without going into the source and getting rid of it there.
Yep, fail BBCode I think. I shouldn't have to edit the source just to quote. xD
