Heller all :)

So, this is totally a late responce to the topic; seeing as though I entered like two days ago, haha.
Hmm, a little about myself now;
I rep CANADA :)
My name is Nikolas; prefer going by Nik
Born March 7th; currently 15 years old
Brown hair; dark in the winter & light in the summer
Blue eyes; my glasses sometimes hide the colour (so I'm told)
5'8; almost the tallest in my family
Have a sister named Nikole; yeah I know Nikole & Nikolas xD
Hmm; I love architecture, writing, swimming, jogging, and photography
I am currently making a new youtube 'series' with my best friend (these would really benifit that)
I am also starting high school in a few weeks, so thats pretty exciting! (these would benifit that too)

Thats about it I think!
Thanks for hosting this amazing giveaway :)
Good luck everyone!
-Nik

This promotion brought me to geekzone, so I'm a newbie here. Mid-way through graduate studies, taking a hiatus at the moment. Sweet promotion! Best of luck to everyone ... am looking forward to enjoying more of geekzone, thanks!

thefatmould: Congratulations off to the other sites for my chance to win

That's a good point... The giveaways are still on until the 9th September, with plenty of other websites to win the same prize - visit Back to School: Better Together to keep entering the other competitions.

Heya fellow Geekzoner's! I just received the email from Mauricio informing me that I had just a meager 48 hours to respond back to confirm that I was the winner of the contest (for this site & time period, or course!) and, after I pulled my lips off of my computer screen, I just wanted to let you all know that I am super stoked to have won!!! I am an avid tech fan, always looking for the latest and greatest (if not the most affordable) technology out there, and now I get to actually use some of it!!! I will post more about the prizes as soon as I get them.

Thanks to Mauricio and the Geekzone staff who got this contest out the door for us users to participate in!

Type to you all soon!

Does anyone here find the www.notebooks.com (one of the Back to School Giveaways site) is being reported as "Attack Site" and has been blacklisted? I'm using FireFox 3.5.2 with no additional plugins and it tells me that site has been reported, when i click to ignore the warning, it takes me to StopBadware.org - with a page on how to get them to review the website to remove the blacklisting.. wierd.. especially how its a competition site...

But when I click on the "Why is it listed" button, the page says"

"What is the current listing status for www.notebooks.com?

This site is not currently listed as suspicious.

What happened when Google visited this site?

Of the 96 pages we tested on the site over the past 90 days, 0 page(s) resulted in malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent. The last time Google visited this site was on 2009-08-17, and suspicious content was never found on this site within the past 90 days.

This site was hosted on 1 network(s) including AS31815 (MEDIATEMPLE).

Has this site acted as an intermediary resulting in further distribution of malware?

Over the past 90 days, www.notebooks.com did not appear to function as an intermediary for the infection of any sites.

Has this site hosted malware?

No, this site has not hosted malicious software over the past 90 days."

So really, just Firefox being a bad software.

I just visited notebooks.com on Google Chrome and the page warned me not to continue because the website hosted malware; I'll post a screenshot.
