meesham: I just realised I'm in Wellington that week but I fly out at 5:50pm on the 18th of July, doh!

I am sure you can have a pre-drinks somewhere :D knowing this lot, it should not be a problem for them to start early

If it's lke in previous years people will show up from 3:30pm. One Red Dog is open after lunch so most likely you can stop by and have a drink before heading to the airport...

Cool, I'll try to stop by before I leave. Although I'm not sure if I'll be able to convince my partner to be subjected to a bunch of geeks, she barely tolerates me! :) (what's the collective noun for geeks, a flange?)

Folks, the side benefit - if you come to the meetup ask one of the mods to put your name in the list to get "Trusted" status...

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

nate:
MattD: solution... stay in a different hotel to massive number of geeks.. or do not let Chris near the network

I think confiscate all electronic gear off chris021 so he has no choice but to try and break the wireless telepathically.

I would not put it past him that he will also be capable of such a deed.
And confiscate that green laser too!

Hmm, what time do you think the actual consumption of food will begin (just trying to see if mad dash from work is possible)
