I have just set up my PAP2T and am able to make outgoing calls successfully. I have tried testing out incoming calls by calling my VFX number from my 027 cellphone, but my phone does not ring at all when I call through. I tried calling the helpdesk but it is after hours, and I am keen to sort this out soon.

Has anybody experienced anything similar or have any idea why this might be happening?

Yes we have seen this and it can be with the type of Phone, EMail me with your Mac address of your device and VFX Phone number and I will have someone take a look ASAP , please also send me your contact number and I will have one of Customer Care people follow up with you

Generally this should be an easy fix.....can you post what type of Phone you have as well ...helps us to keep track of which phone models have what type of ringing characteristics

I have sent you an email Phil.

I am using a Panasonic KX-TCD430NZ cordless phone, so maybe this is the issue.

I had this issue with my KX-A145NZM, after a bit of troubleshooting I found it was related to the ringing waveform. It needed a Trapezoid rather than the normal Sinusoid waveform to make it ring. I think some phones just need a more "grunty" ring trigger to make them ring. The Trapezoid waveform holds the voltage up/down longer than the Sinusoid, so seems to do the trick. Phil will most likely reprovision your service with this setting.

I got home just now and power cycled the PAP2T to allow it to download the new settings and everything works perfectly now!

Thanks Phil for this excellent service!
