Hi all
Any advice would be appreciated. I am having huge issues getting Telstra to connect our new house so we can have cable (naked broadband 60G). They will only offer us a adsl connection with a phone line for over $100. Every person I have spoken to has been either unhelpful or incredibly rude.
There are Telstra Cable lines running along the power lines in front of our house. Other houses on our street have Telstra Cable. All that is required is for the line to run from the pole to our house. On the phone they keep saying there is no cable in our area or that it is switched off. I know this isn't true as other on our street are using it.
Most recently I spoke to a incredibly rude person who was encouraging us not to get a property check done to check for eligibility saying that they never get approved. He said that the technician will get there and decline it immediately so I shouldn't get it. Anyone can simply access Google street view and see the cable there on the pole right in front of our house.
Is there any recommendations on how to deal with Telstra in order to get the cable installed promptly?
I can only wish that some other ISP would offer cable broadband for a similar price.
