2:40AM !!!! its still DARK outside... and I get a TXT from vodafone reminding me my txt 2000 add on is up for renewal in 2 days time... this is not the first time i have received this kinda txt from vodafone at a bloody ridiculous time in the morning... I phone customer service again to complain, as i have already complained last month about these TXTS... after fianlly getting in touch with "manager" I was told that they know about the problem, other customers have complained also ...that the technicians are looking into changing the time the txts are sent..."HOW LONG WILL THAT TAKE, as i have bestmate addon due very soon too?".... "uuummm im sorry but we have been told yet" was the answer.... so it got me thinking ...does anyone know vodafones CEOS telephone number so i can phone them at 2:40am to say the problem still isnt fixed? yes im very tired!!!

you are lucky, I got innundated with 3G [expletive] and stupid vodafone live pxt's in the middle of the night, do what i did, disconnect/chuckaway your prepay and you won't stress again!

Funny i never got the good stuff like a v box or any of the free stuff they hand out to customers, just the rubbish.

I get a PXT virtually every Saturday afternoon around 1pm trying to sell me music from the Vodafone music store.

Duuno about you guys, but I have this flash new feature on my phone called an OFF button. Its really cool it like turns the phone off at nights and back on in the morning!!!! Maybe you should upgrade your phone.

While turning off the phone would certainly resolve the issue, why should we?

Some of us need the phone on so we can get urgent calls (particularly if one is 'on call') from both work and family. In my situation I don't actually have a direct landline so my cellphone is the primary means of communication for me.

You don't "turn your landline off" because the telco rings you in the middle of the night (if they did, there would be plenty of complaints) to give you promotion messages, why should you turn the cellphone off?

ahhh the luxury of turning your mobile phone off.

.. i can't im on call.... i must say that i was asked by vodafone if i would like to stop the reminders coming through.... and although VERY tempting....in reality i have a terrible memory and being reminded is a GREAT idea....its just the timing of it all..... maybe i should demonstrate outside a vodafone shop in mall somewhere...

Yeah, that's a good idea.

Camp outside the door with some placards and get a group of friends to chant and rattle tambourines a la Hare Krishna...

They would soon get the message

I frequently forget to turn my mobile off as well, and because it's right beside my bed, it would sure piss me off to receive texts from Voda at 2:40am.

Here's hoping someone who can do something takes notice...

ok now they really are taking the Piss !!! i received another nuisance txt at 2:10am this morning....why?...to say that i didnt have enough money for my TXT 2000 to recure for this month.... thing is i did have enough money. phoned and complained again...its an error in their processing apprently??? oh and the problem is now "High priority" but cant say when it willb e fixed... *sigh*

LEAVE Vodafone, vote with your feet.

Now I have even stopped using my SMS cotroller I had on "bestmate" as the "Vodafone" promo and reminder sms messages jammed it up causing a "sender ID not valid MISIDN" which halts the microcontroller. ugh. time to investigate the AT commands for a CDMA 2280.

Ah, thank you Vodafone! Now we know why you let your pre-paid customers have best-mate 1st. It's to save us on account customers such grief as this. Lets hope they iron out all the bugs before its our turn.

i don't no why you people just don't turn your phones off when you don't want to be contacted. is there a real need for them to be on all the time?

Because as some people have stated the are on call or no longer have a landline. It's not a problem if they were being contacted for legit reasons. But VF sending nuisance texts at ridiculous times.

Why should people have to turn off their phones to avoid this. Just another example of Vodafone doing everything they can to make their customers love them more
