Hi Guys

It's lovely how the Vodafone website has a variety of plans but I'm really confused with the plans on the website and how it is presented.

Today I have a friend who's looking through the website and we were bombarded with Vodafone Red,On account Smart Data, On account Smart, On Account Sim only.

It's kinda tedious going thru every single one of them to compare the plans and you really have to write a whole page of all the vodafone plans to compare the plans that actually suit your needs.

What is the difference between On account SIM and On account Smart?

It says On account Sim "Got a mobile you want to keep, but want a different plan that delivers all round great value? These SIM-only options are made for you

On Account Smart :

"After all round great value? Smart plans have everything you need to stay connected. You’ll get at least one NZBestMate as well as plenty of minutes, NZ Mins, data plus a discount off a smartphone. All plans are on a 24-month term."

If I'm bringing my number to Vodafone or Joining Vodafone wouldn't that be On Account Smart as well as On account SIM?

I'm finding your plans really hard to read. Too many variety at $10-$20 difference with bits and pieces like more data on this plan on on account sim but more calling minutes on another plan with On Account Smart.

I'm wondering if it's me or others feeling the same way?

I'm 2degrees but just seeing if Vodafone has made any good plans for me to come back.

Maybe Vodafone should allow customers to create their own custom plans?

on account sim is where you have a phone already that you like and don't want a new phone, they give you a monthly discount of the plan cost and give you a sim card for you phone.

the on account smart with the phone discount is for people who want a new phone with their plan.

You will get a sim card with both if your new to Vodafone obviously, however one will give you a phone discount and the other a monthly plan discount.
