Hi Cameron,

This is probably more to do with how your sales department handles your Fusion Plan info. Feel free to pass this on to the appropriate department.

Telecom's ever rising fees are finally forcing me to look at alternatives. I spoke with one of your sales people today who sent me an email outlining your various Fusion plans.

Your pricing looks attractive.

What is not so attractive is that Xnet is not honest and upfront about what may for many people be a substantial hidden cost. This is the Analogue Telephone Adapter, shown in one of the three diagrams at the bottom of the Fusion email.

There does not appear to be a price for this added device, which I'm told by your sales person to be around $135.00 when purchased from Xnet. Someone who, in their enthusiasm, signs up for one of your Fusion plans suddenly finds they are lumped with this extra expense.

Yes, sure they can also buy the adapter elsewhere but Xnet is not being upfront and honest about extra or hidden costs. Why not be straight about it? It's simple enough, Xnet does not contravene NZ Consumer laws and your customers know exactly what they are in for.

I've appreciated your help with past issues and I hope you can do the same with this issue.

A standard POTS line not included in a bundle maybe? Wasn't that long it was $41 a month for customers in main cities, now $46.

That is cause the wholesale cost of a copper line has gone up, Not a Telecom issue

That is a cost that basically rises with inflation, as it is dictated by NZ labour costs, as NZers have to maintain those lines. Look at all other utilities, all those sorts of fees are rising. It will be the same sort of price and price rise whichever provider you use. I was talking about broadband fees and phone call costs. Data and bundles have never been lower priced that they are now.

Do you want them to quote the price including the cost of the computer as well? How about the cost of the power to operate this computer?
