We are currently on the old TelstraClear Call Local with Broadband (Phone line + Big Back Yard + Broadband) Package and it is due to expire in September/October. The package monthly amount  with a 150GB Usage pack comes to $104.99 per month.

Anyone from Vodafone please advise me on what happens at the end of old TelstraClear contracted packages. If we are to contact Vodafone, whom would we contact. Ideally would love to stay on the same type of package for the same cost.

Many Thanks
Rickie

Just carry's on as I understand month to month like a mobile plan does when a contract ends

I'm in the same boat also my plan expires about that time but I'm on a $75 phone inhome cable plan. Not looking forward to renewing it as nothing is similar to what I have unless I downgrade to 30gig from my 40gig plan I have for the same price.
I was told from someone in VF I was on the best plan at the moment (when i tried to change plans for less?) that wait till closer to expiry as something is in the wind. I hope so. Watch this space?

Plans don't expire as such, Contract terms come to an end and then month to month

As John explained... you don't do anything. Nothing changes. The only thing that changes is that you're no longer committed to the contract and can terminate/move to another provider at any time without owing an Early Termination Fee (ETF) anymore.

If you don't do anything, the price/conditions continue forever on a "month/month" basis.

John

The old telstraclear plans did, effectively.

They were $75 and you got a 'free' upgrade to 40GB for 12 months, which normally would cost $30 per month extra. At the end of the 12 months, the free 40GB became chargeable so if you did nothing, you would start paying $105 per month.

This was discussed quite extensively in the thread about this plan.

Yes but that is a offer on top of a plan

My plan is similar to what NonprayingMantis is on but mine was a 'free' upgrade to 150GB from 60GB for 12 months. My main worry is that at the end of the contract period the data package will revert to 60GB and will be hit with $2/2GB for the balance. Currently my household uses all of the 150GB and can exceed this.

So Johnr, my plan will revert to the 60GB package?

I'm going to be in the same boat come end of October, my question is if I want to do anything with my plan would I still stay on the telstraclear side of the network or have to be moved to the ihug/vodafone side of things?

If you are on a plan that is a special offer for 12 or 24 months then yes this will change after the end of the term,

So the customer is always best to resign onto a new contract and get in contact with the sales/retention team

That's the one. The team will be able to tell you how much longer you have in term and your options moving forward, including any new promos available to you.
