Hello folks,

very new to this forum....please excuse if off topic or a tad long...

Have a few Linksys 3G units installed on ships here  in Auckand Viaduct.
Last couple of weeks having great problem staying logged into the 3G network.
Cards in use are Novatel.
Hardware has been fine for months. Web setup on the Linksys display
good RF sigs and correct network, but show " connecting" status.
A soft reboot or simply re-powering gets them back to the network.
Called Voda support but nothing to report there...

It looks like the authentication is failing or whatever is used to
verify users.
Has been a resonable service up to now.

Getting pretty boring re-booting Linksys box several times a day !!

Have tried the " keep alive " option every 180 seconds but hasn't helped.

anybody else having a few 3G probs in central AK city ??

cheers

BI

Vodafone have their own inbuilding microcells that will only allow approved phones to connect. If you have a phone that tries to connect to the internal network rather than the public Vodafone network it won't work.
