WiFi or Ethernet?
You rebooted everything?
What server?
You experiencing latency to anything else?

Edit: Scrap the above, you've already been told what the issue is.

Actually looking at all your last topics do you do anything else but game? It'll likely be planned maintenance, get some sleep.

Yes, they do network maintenance around this time. You don't need to start a new thread each time you get latency, this is normal when planned work is done.

The problem is that customers don't know when a planned maintenance is happening if it's not announced...

I don't understand why Murphy is going off at me....

Firstly, its none of his business what I use the internet for and
Secondly, his arrogance is somewhat confusing.

I was simply trying to ascertain if anyone else in my area is having similar issues.

His post was totally unhelpful and somewhat abusive.

He clearly has his own issues, or maybe Santa bypassed his house this year. Lets hope he has a better New Year than he did Christmas.

If latency does increase to a gaming server why not do a trace route at the time and have a look where the latency has climbed,

The First post does contain very little INFO

You posted the trace route after and did not include any INFO on the games server you were playing on

Indeed. I remember when TelstraClear decided to do unannounced planned maintenance the same night as a WoW expansion launch. I bet the CSRs got an earful!

I asked a simple question ....if you don't live in Kapiti or didn't have any issues at that time there is no need for a response, especially a day after the situation was resolved.

You are trolling.

I am not trolling at all, You start these threads quite often with very little INFO and expect us to have a crystal ball

You could include the the name of game you are playing and where it's located, international is anything outside of New Zealand

Edit: Further to this I know the guys / girls that look after most of this kit and if good INFO is posted I can call someone up and get it investigated / checked out quite quickly even when I am holiday

I simply asked if anyone else was getting this issue in my area as I know several others forum readers are in the kapiti area.

Usually if its an area issue others do respond quite quickly and we can ascertain what to do next eg ask for help or even log a service call.

Last time I posted the issue was a major one where a large part of my area was offline for approx. 18 hours.

As I said..simple question with no need for a trolling type response.

Lets end this farce now or perhaps a moderator can delete the entire post as some folk have got carried away.
