I wonder if someone can help me, I'm interested in signing up with the WorldxChange VFX package and having read all the threads on this forum I realise I'm not going going to be able to us my Asterisk server on it. :-(

What I thought I would do until WorldxChange add support is either buy a Linksys ATA which supports two lines and have one on VFX and one on my server, or alternativly accept the inherent weeknesses in the setup and use an SPA3102 to 'bridge' the systems. Either way I think I am going to have the same problem... that being that my NAT router is configured to forward 10000-20000 UDP and 5000-6000 UDP/TCP to my Asterisk server, will this not conflict with the port ranges the SPA will be wanting to use?

I realise I could exclude certain ranges from the Asterisk setup and adjust my firewall to direct them to the SPA, but will I have enough access to the SPA config after provisioning to restrict it to those ranges? I get the impression a lot of other admin's on here have managed to get an Asterisk server to sit inside a NAT'ed LAN with an SPA - any advice would be most appreciated.

Also, (tonyhuges I guess I'm looking to you here...) how easy is it to use a SPA3102 to bridge, is your setup still working? Before I get lots of comments about FXO ports being better I should add that my Asterisk server is a Kurobox (a glorified NAS) - 2x USBs, 1x IDE, 1x Ethernet port, 128MB Ram and a PowerPC processor. I've looked high and low and I cannot find an FXO option!

A plea to the gods: With naked DSL just around the corner and Voip now a real alterative, can someone please work out a way to bring out a home priced Voip package with the features/reliability/support of VFX, the Asterisk trunking capabilities of iTalk (oh, and pricing from 'The Warehouse'!?) The first to bring this to market will surely rule it!
