Hi there

I have a site that is not loading over Vodafone 3G/4G
We get a Gateway 504 timeout response.

Loads fine over standard non-cellular data connections.

It has been suggested that the nameserver address must match the A record server, but the owner of the site maintains these NS address at the originating domain name provider.
Could this be an issue?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Regards, Justin

No, it shouldn't be a requirement at all. It's something else.

DNs looks fine. Some tests show all good.

Over any mobile network? You mean tested on Vodafone, Spark, 2degrees?
Used same device in all or different devices?

I am on Vodafone 4G in Wellington. Site won't load on Android Chrome. As soon as I connect to a VPN it loads.

Either the Vodafone network is having problems accessing the server, or your site code/provider is blocking Vodafone access. Tested with two VPNs (UnoTelly and WiTopia) on my Android device and loaded fine.

I had lots of issues with being unable to connect to Websites once I moved from a 3G-only prepay pack to the 4G-capable one. Everything would be working fine one moment, then be unusable the next.

I ended up switching to Skinny, and the issue seems to have gone away. Using a Nokia Lumia 820.
