And what have they gained so far, from that venture

Thanks

A very large mainly corporate focused customer base and infatructure, something Vodafone was lacking previously.

They had the mobile network but how many corporates used ihug as their IP provider. Now they can offer a true fully bundled enterprise product

When they merged they would have gathered a lot of duplicated roles, now as they sort their processes and systems they can remove those duplications. That occurs in almost every merger.

What have they gained? VF NZ are a much bigger operation with a much broaderr network and increased customer base.

Mike you're dead right, just amazes me how these culls always happen just before Christmas when job hunting is at it's hardest.

Harsh as it will sound if they terminate before Xmas it avoids a costly statutory leave cost. I agree its a tough time and one I always avoided when restructuring and left with unavoidable terminations.

As it was explained to me by a xTelstraClear worker last time I was at Vodafone , Vodofone is a cell company that has bought a wireline company but doesn't know how to run it..

Difference is that Spark made a lot of money last year, had no synergy to complete, and they're still shedding people.

I wonder if the xTCL person took into account that they purchased ihug 7 years ago and have successfully built that up over the last several years.

Please note: I have a professional bias towards Vodafone.
