Someone on Vodafone could please check? I am looking through our SMTP logs and saw the following errors when our server tries sending emails from Geekzone to addreses on @paradise.net.nz and @clear.net.nz:

Message delivery to the host '203.97.33.212' failed while delivering to the remote domain 'clear.net.nz' for the following reason: An SMTP protocol error occurred.

The SMTP verb which caused the error is 'MAIL'. The response from the remote server is '451 #4.1.8 Domain of sender address <forums@geekzone.co.nz> does not resolve'.

451 seems to be a temporary local problem, but the error message from your server seems to indicate otherwise.

I've just had a client contacted me with a similar NDR being sent to them.

mxin2-orange.clear.net.nz
Remote Server returned '553 #5.1.8 Domain of sender address <xxxx@xxxx.co.nz> does not exist'

It appears only  clear.net.nz addresses are affected. The same e-mail was sent to vodafone addresses without issue

Will ask the client to resend and see what happens today

Specifics can be supplied if anyone from Vodafone wants them for troubleshooting

Clint
