Open the web browser to check your firmware. Should be up top of main page, and mine is 5.15. So upgrading to this version should not be a problem. Normally the VFX config should check this and update the firmware automatically. If it hasn't, factory reset it, then drop the default VFX config line back in, see if it updates firmware then.

I think you will find the device you have is one of the PAP2's not the PAP2T, most probably yes it would cause a problem as the 5.1.x firmwrae train is for the latest hardware the PAP2 is quite old now and ther will not be to much firmware support for it from Linksys,

You proberly were one of the first ones to get on the system with the PAP2 as we don't support them anymore due to a couple of issues, there is 3.1.22ls code which is the latest but if you are not having issues then proberly best advised to stay on the one you have.

Are you having some issues or you just looking to upgrade ?

Hello

It was a typo error.I have a pap2t and using it right now

Hooked it up yesterday and called the other day before to provide the mac address

Everything is working fine and I suppose with call forwarding you cannot choose a cellphone number to call forward only a landline number correct?

I am waiting patiently to get rid of my telecom line

I have another question

I just changed the call forwarding number to my mobile and noticed that when my mobile rings it displayed private number

I don't think its to do with vodafone and I am using a nokia n73

By any chance or is there something that can enable the caller ID?

So if someone calls my vfx number and it goes to my mobile number it will either display my vfx number on my mobile or the person who actually made the call

is this impossible?

Oh one more question

Your website indicated Call Notify

I think that what this is is that if someone calls and noone answers you can xnet to send you an email on the person who called and the date and time that the call was made however under the feature guide on the website it does not say how to set this up

This is a free feature am i correct?

On call forwarding the Caller ID of the person who called (If available) will be displayed,

Call Notify is one of the features you have with your VFX connection, all the services that are in your Web Portal are part of the package so free to use as you see fit Laughing
