Sorry to start yet another thread on this guys.....

But I was just exploring the new Vodafone website...  And while I was trying desperately to find how much international video calls are (which I couldn't find), I came across the Prepay Terms & Condition....

http://www.vodafone.co.nz/personal/about/legal-stuff/terms-and-conditions-prepay.pdf

In particular, Term 14(e)...

Quoted:  "If you Port the Vodafone allocated Mobile Phone Number to another Mobile Service Provider, you will not be able to Port that Mobile Phone Number back onto a Vodafone Prepay connection, you will however, be able to Port it back onto a Vodafone On-Account connection."....

Hey.......  Maybe I should really bring this to Fair Go...

Just to confirm abit...  Port to Vodafone Prepay, no.  Port to Telecom Prepaid, yes!

mobygeek: Why wait?

1) I'm locked into a contract for another 6 months

2) I don't want to buy a new phone when if I wait a few months longer, I won't need to Cool

too many junk phones and having to re-buy accessories is my reason.

edit:

and also I like being able to just stuff other simcards under my battery for when I want to swap numbers to call someone that I dont want to get the number that I have in the phone at the time, whereas with cdma it would be another phone I have to carry with,
