Hi,

The company I'm working for are standardising on a phone and we have the choice of the following phones. Does anyone have any recommendations or advice of which to go for or steer clear of.

The specs of the phones all seem to do what is required. We're interested in reliability, battery time, software bugs, etc that you only find out after owning the thing for a while.

Thanks for any help.

Since it's going to be a company phone, my pick is for the Nokia 6288.

Great support (software for Nokia, accessories, etc), "can-do-it-all" business phone, and reliable.

And by means of elimination, not the Z400v (too "personal", not many good business features, memo doesn't work too well), and not the LG Chocolate (too unreliable).

i got a ku800 through work recently. i haven't done much with it yet, but i don't think the battery life is anywhere near what is claimed. unless standby time means leaving the phone alone and not ever having the screen on etc.?

The Nokia would be the go, I got the KU800 through work also, its battery life if pretty poor, other than that I like it, however I feel it is pretty fragile physically and would not be surprised if there have been lots of failures/returns, mine has lasted this far simply because I am reasonably precious with regards to my toys. Other than that the LG software is pretty clean.

Well, against my advice (and the combined wisdom of Geekzone), it looks like the LG Chocolate was the majority's choice so we'll see how it goes :-(

Ha - after consulting with the Vodafone, we've changed to the Nokia.  Reason being that according to the Vodafone sales guy, the touchpad reacts to heat and if you rest it against your face when talking then random things happen.  As mentioned here, the battery life is apparently awful.
