So since I've been on Vodafone I've been getting forbidden messages when I visit amiga.org.

After getting annoyed at the wait times I gave up trying to call and ended up using anon proxy to access it but getting tired at the slight delay on load times so thought I'd post here.

I've contacted the owners of amiga.org and there is no settings or blocks in place for the IP addresses I'm getting assigned by Vodafone and the web host isn't black listing Vodafone from what they can see.

When I was on Bigpipe I could access amiga.org fine.

Anyone else on Vodafone able to test? If it's not working for you the first thing you will notice is that the home page doesn't load correctly and then when you click on any of the links you will get forbidden.

Very strange, nothing blocking it on my end. Happens on any device I use, even my phone. When I was briefly with Bigpipe there were no issues, as soon as I was back with Vodafone the old problem appeared again.

I even have a new router so unsure. Will stick with the anonymous proxy :-/

The forbidden message is also generated by the website not from my end.

That is loading the site but not the CSS.

Are you using Vodafone's own DNS or a third party?

Also CTRL U and search for CSS. Can you load the file?

Using vodafone ADSL and Unotelly DNS - site doesnt load properly.
As displayed above - style sheet issue.

Changed my DNS to vodafones DNS and retried - same issue.
Tried accessing the file http://www.amiga.org/forums/clientscript/vbulletin_important.css?v=384

I'm not alone LOL. Thanks for posting this I was starting to think I was crazy. Where are you based, Auckland on Vodafones own gear or through Chorus?

Central Auckland - VF red network from memory - so that would be VFs gear
What about you?

You changed from Bigpipe to VF?

Still cant open that link (the css file) by the way.

EDIT: Set up a free vpnbook VPN connection and connected to the internet. amiga.org works fine on that.

VFs network stuffed up again?

I had all sorts of problems a while back accessing the bbc iplayer website - while I could stream (well - provided I accessed offpeak NZ times), the main page would take a full minute to load up. Logged a call with unotelly, who (after spending quite a while looking at info I sent them) seemed to reckon it was the way the traffic was being routed to the iplayer main website. One day it was just suddenly fixed and now loads in a couple of seconds.

I see UFB is coming to my area soon and am tossing up bigpipe or myrepublic.

VF red network too, so I wonder if the other people that have posted are on Chorus gear? Not sure if that makes any difference.

I'm picking on a routing issue, I get issues now and then with the thumb nails in the netflix app on the Roku when I'm with Vodafone. Bigpipe had no issues with that and they loaded instantly and the amiga.org site worked fine, as soon as I switched back to Vodafone broken again.

I left Bigpipe because streaming was really bad, lost HD on Netflix and would get a lot of buffering. Even youtube was an issue. Was getting 8000Kbps on Bigpipe and on Vodafone it is 13-14000Kbps. Probably okay on UFB with Bigpipe, the customer service was instant on Bigpipe though.

Vodafones customer service is shocking, so just put up with the small issues. Might switch to Slingshot, they have their own gear so should get similar connect speeds as Vodafone but I hear their customer service isn't bad at the moment. Probably fix the odd small issues like accessing amiga.org.
