Hi, 
Does anyone know if I can plug a non vodafone supplied set top box into Vodafone cable and watch free to air tv? If so do you know a brand?
I have tried with a very basic set top box and got no signal. 
Vodafone tell me I need a set to box that is capable of processing hfc signal.

As far as I'm aware (unless something has changed since last time I heard), attaching any non-Vodafone equipment to Vodafone cable is a breach of T&Cs right?

Maybe just use normal tv transmission.

Assuming you are in a FreeviewHD area, connect up to an UHF aerial. either with a tv with a built-in freeview tuner or get a set top box. If not will need a Freeview satellite set top box (but some newer tv's also have a satellite tuner built in).

sorted it out with Vodafone. Getting a vodafone box installed. 
The house I bought has no external aerials as its always used vodafone cable for tv.
