On my old Cisco router it is easy to setup 2x SSIDs, but I just can't figure it out on the MP-264. What I want to do is have a "parents" SSID and a "kids" SSID, so when the kids have been naughty I just have to disable one network. Ideally I'd also want to prioritise the "parent's" bandwidth over the "kid's" bandwidth. I've searched the internet a bit, but can't find any help. Anyone know how to do this? For the past 3 months or so I've just run the kids off the Cisco configured as a switch (and set it's WiFi config to 6Mbps max), but that is hogging the WiFi channels (and uses power, generates heat). Thanks.

Did you sort this?

Try wireless-wireless then scroll to the bottom and click the green plus for new virtual AP

Tried a new virtual AP which is what I thought should do the job, but devices that connect to it does not see the internet. Perhaps somewhere I need to set the routing as well, but I have no clue how that works. Any advice appreciated.

Issue resolved. My IT security consultant friend helped me. He was also stumped, can setup the virtual AP and see it but not connect. Then we put 2 and 2 together, and found the screen Network Coonections -> Lan Bridge -> Bridging where the new AP will be listed and you just put a tick next to it. So this router does not automatically setup the bridge when you add a virtual AP.

Now to learn how QoS works so that I can prioritise the adult's internet access over the kids...
