Hi, I am a new VFX user and have a strange problem. I have aWRT54G and a PAP2T. The connection has been made to WXC andmy PAP2T has had the firmaware upgraded and has locked the user admin.

The problem I have is that a connection is made every 30 minutes. It logs in to WXC. I get dial tone but cannot dial out. The connection dies after 120 seconds. This is continually happening. I am on a fairly slow line, I think its 128K up. Any idea?

Hi ksa2008,

Has the device got a Static IP address assigned to it? I would suggest doing this, but also completely restarting the device and allowing it to pickup its config again. It appears that the device has been working in the past, has this issue only just started? As Maverick has suggested it is probably best to log this fault with our helpdesk team.

Unable to get it working. Had a new line installed and got DSL. When I cconnect the PAP2T to the DSL router(WAG54G) the line comes active immediateley. When I put it back into the WRT54G it fails to connect. I had up graded the firmware to dd-wrt micro but still no luck. Looks like some port blocking on this router. I'll keep working on this problem and update this topic when if i solve it.

Josh suggested a double NAT problem. So, I setup the WAG54G as a modem (bridge mode only) then connected it to the WRT54G. I then setup the WRT54G to login to my ISP with PPPoE. Everything came up. PAP2T connected into the WRT54G. VOIP worked immediately. I am a very happy camper. Thanks for the help from everyone.
