I'm most likely just paranoid, but it's a bit annoying.

This morning I upgraded to the Flood plan for increased upload speeds and was delighted when my download speed also increased (From 187KB/s to 325KB/s). Now I had that speed for about 3 hours or so, until it was back at 187.6KB/s again.

Now I understand that for various reasons speed can be slower, however the line was at that speed and it NEVER has been before (It was great fun downloading a bunch of podcasts at 325KB/s!). The part I find most strange is that it's reduced back to exactly 187KB/s again. I don't know.. as I said, I guess I'm just being paranoid or something.

What're your sync rates like?

I've found that occasionally I sync at a slightly higher speed (which boosts my downloads by ~50kBps), but the next day they're back to the regular speed.

Try reboot your modem.  WxC has a recent problem where people's connections would randomly drop to a slower speed (i.e. drop out of full speed to a reduced speed).  They are working on it, there is a long post about it, but the workaround is simply rebooting your modem.

You can never have enough Volvos!

Yeah I have that problem too, but it drops much further than 1.5MB
