Hi there, just a couple of questions about VFX

Does VFX operate when your ISP is someone other than x-net?

I have an PAP2T purchased through Techpac with the iTalk settings on it. How do I apply the VFX settings - an auto-config URL?

iTalk supplies the SIP credentials for a softphone - does the VFX MAC authentication preclude using a soft SIP client?

Thanks

Yes it does, although with any other ISP, you will be charged for the VoIP traffic, whereas Xnet don't count it against your data usage.

You need to enter the PROFILE RULE into the Provisioning page.  This will be sent to you in an e-mail from WxC when you sign up for VFX.

Soft Phones are not directly supported by VFX, but you can use one if you have your own Asterisk server.  Please refer to Tony Hughes' blog for details.
