$16 gives 500mb & 100m.  $3 gives an extra $500mb.  Only available for under 25's. I can understand and appreciate affirmative action - but I'm not sure that's what this is.  Is it age discrimination?

The quivalent amount of data for the rest of us plebs will cost $39 per month on an on account plan, or $29 on a pre-paid plan.

@sxz I am so sorry that you are not eligible for the plan.

I am a bit surprised they are doing it on age. Normally companies make discounts based on things like being a student, or being eligible for super. Can they treat customers differently based on age like this?

I tend to look at things like this in reverse... IE, as a penalty... In this case, as a penalty for being over 25 years old.

And then I think to myself "Do I really want to be with a company that penalizes me?"

What about the 20 year-olds who made their profile when they were 12 and are now over 25 on facebook?

It's pretty much a copy of the Skinny $16 plan except age limited. The data boost is nice though

It sucks. We are paying all the taxes. No free train rides and no cheap phone plans.... We are being sucked dry! The whole world just sees us as a cash cow...

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Just wondering if it's a way of mining facebook data for further marketing - not sure how that works.

Life is full of challenges and things to get worked up about...this isn't one of them.  It's not age discrimination, it's target marketing.   Build a bridge.

Target marketing means that it is aimed at a certain age group but there is nothing stopping a different age group from using it, Skinny used to target younger people but old people could still use it

What really grinds my gears is being considered old, just because I'm old and fat and bald and use phrases like "grinds my gears", does not automatically mean I am not young.

Oh, wait...

As you were.

Just like children's tickets to the movies and bus fares, - get over it...

Fairly sure the government disciminates against me too by not paying me a pension until I get to 65 either, so it is happening everywhere....:)
