Hi,

I am waiting for my Fusion application to be processed.

In the mean time I have set up my hardware to access the internet and
port forwarding to some servers on my home network.
Internet access and server access is all working.

I am wondering if the VoIP is going to work ok.
Anyone confirm if this setup below will work or if I have to
reconfigure in some way?

The setup:

Xnet Internet
Dynamic IP with DynDNS domain.
Dynalink RTA1320 router configured with port forwarding to my .1.x
subnet
LAN IP 192.168.1.9
(the .9 is for historic reasons)

Next:
VoIP router LinkSys SPA2102-AU.
Configured in Bridge mode.
Phone network attached to the SPA2102.
No dial tone but can access the **** and phone admin stuff.
Bought SPA2102 showing VFX on package.
No other config mods.

Next:
8 port switch

Next:
Various computers.
Various IP cameras.
A wireless network.
All on subnet 192.168.1.x
Masks 255.255.255.0
Gateways set to 192.168.1.9

Any help would most appreciated.

Your SPA is in the best place it can be, just after the modem. If your network is working fine now, then it will also work fine on Fusion.

You can never have enough Volvos!

I could never get my SPA2102 to work in this mode.

Instead, I had to use NAT mode and it works fine. Maybe you can work out the secret to making Bridge mode work. If so, I would like to know how.

Yes you can use your SPA2102 or SPA3102 in bridge mode, it works fine for me. If you have a little complex Home LAN make sure you plug your SPA's Internet port directly to your ADSL Modem ports if possible.

OK, thanks for reminding me about that earlier thread Shash, I remember seeing it now.

Glad to hear that Bridge Mode worked OK for you. Maybe it was something to do with my LAN setup that caused the problem, or maybe it was a bug in the firmware of my SPA2102 (which could have been updated by now because I haven't tried to use Bridge Mode again).

Hopefully, Bridge Mode will work OK for Gordy7 too

Sorry if I have started another thread on this topic.

Originally I had the ADSL router and SPA2102 router linked on subnet .2.x
and my network on the ethernet side of the SPA2102 on subnet .1.x

All worked fine for surfing the web.
But as I read further setting up port forwarding with two routers in series poses some problems.

So all I did to get my SPA2102 on bridge mode was ****, 73738#, 1 to reset it to factory default.
Then used my web browser on 192.168.0.1, admin login, advanced, lan tab, and set the network service to Bridge.
Then clicked on submit changes.

Set my ADSL router to the .1.x subnet, same as the rest of my network, and all was sweet.

My SPA 2102 is only about a week old.
Don't have the hardware or software version numbers handy.

Current firmware version on the CPE will be SPA-2102-5.1.12.

I have firmware 3.3.5 in my new SPA2102-AU.

Is it worth update to version 5.x.x?

Will the VFX config that came with the SPA2102 remain unchanged?

Does WxC do a firmware update as part of the new Fusion installation and config?

Hello Gordy7 ,

Once your SPA checks into the profile server it will automatically download current firmware and update. Just a note normally the SPA 2102's require the profile rule http://58.28.20.69/configs/default/default$MA.cfg to be manually entered into the provisioning tab on the CPE.
